What made you choose dentistry?
I always enjoyed the sciences and had early aspirations to enter the medical field for my career. Quite honestly, it was suggested to me by my medical provider to consider dentistry for a better work life balance and I never looked back.
What do you love most about being a dentist or what do you find the most rewarding?
Dentistry is more about the relationships than anything. For many, the relationship lasts for years and seeing second, or third generations is truly rewarding.
What’s your care/treatment philosophy?
I believe each patient has unique desires and is an individual. I spend significant time to reach an understanding on their goals, their desires or wants, and their readiness for care. I believe patient care is a journey.
Is there a particular area of dentistry you enjoy the most or like to focus on?
I have naturally gravitated toward surgery over the years, leveraging my ability and training to immediately resolve significant pain and provide comfort.
When did you start or how many years have you been with Park Dental?
I joined Park Dental in August 1993 and have practiced at Park Dental Brookpark since.
What is one thing you love most about Park Dental?
The ability to work alongside so many talented people across Park Dental. There is a place for everyone and so much to learn from others. I have been blessed with the ability to expand my career, clinically, operationally, and professionally.
What do you enjoy most about being part of a group practice?
The lifelong friendships and our collaboration toward a common goal. As a large group, we can improve the profession through greater scale and influence, improving the lives of many.

Fishing pro. Ron and Al Lindner where good friends of my parents and often took us fishing, trying out the new gear. I still have early prototypes from the 70’s. - What was your very first job?
Like many rural kids, delivering the Sunday paper from my bike. - What do you like to do on your days off?

There are many. I am proud to serve the country and come from a family of military members. My youngest son has continued the tradition and is currently in the Air Force. The individuals that dedicate their lives, as well as the lives of their families, for the freedom and benefits we all enjoy, will forever be heroes. - If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Any holiday now that there are grandkids. It adds a whole new level of enjoyment. - Are you scared of or have a fear of anything?
Working my whole life to finally retire, then becoming medically or mentally incapable of enjoying it.
