Get to Know Dr. Kellee Stanton

In this installment of “Get to Know the Park Dental Doctors”, we’re introducing you to Dr. Kellee Stanton from Park Dental Yankee Doodle Road.  In 2019, Dr. Stanton  transitioned both of her practices to Park Dental.  In her profile, Dr. Stanton shares why she choose the dental field, and also shares some fun facts about herself.  Enjoy reading more about Dr. Stanton!

What made you choose dentistry?
I wanted a profession in healthcare that allowed me to be able to develop a professional relationship with the patients I serve, getting to know the person and often their families.

What do you love most about being a dentist or what do you find the most rewarding?
I am a story collector, and I love the stories and how our patients share their lives and experiences with us.

What’s your care/treatment philosophy?
Everyone is an individual, with individual needs, and their care should reflect that. As practitioners we get to know and understand our patients so we can help them achieve their individual goals for their oral and overall health.

Is there a particular area of dentistry you enjoy the most or like to focus on?
Esthetics and reconstruction.

When did you start or how many years have you been with Park Dental?
I joined Park Dental in September 2019.

What is one thing you love most about Park Dental?
I work with a great Team!

What do you enjoy most about being part of a group practice?
Working with other professionals.

• What did you want to be when you were a kid?
  Teacher; actress/director  
• What was your very first job?
  Babysitting; bussing tables at the Flour Bin Restaurant
• What do you like to do on your days off?
  I love hanging out with my family & playing games, going to the cabin, downhill skiing, running, baking cookies, reading, seeing live music.
• What’s your favorite food or drink?
  Oysters on the half shell, a good red zinfandel
• Who is your hero or who inspires you?
  Coach John Wooden, UCLA Basketball Coach.  He won 10 NCAA championships and was a great teacher.
• What is an interesting fact that people may not know about you?
  I’m a former Miss USA contestant and Miss Wyoming USA.
• If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
  South of France, French Riviera
• What’s your favorite movie?
  Devil Wears Prada
• What’s your favorite genre of music to listen to?
  Disco
• What are your hobbies?
  Learning, going to lectures, meeting great people, taking formal classes, and sharing the information through formal and informal teaching channels.
• What’s your favorite holiday?
  4th of July
• Do you speak any other languages?
  A little Spanish, “un poquito.”
• Are you scared of or have a fear of anything?
  Not living my life to the fullest.
• What’s your favorite thing about living in Minnesota/Wisconsin?
  The people, the lakes and the seasons.
• Do you have any hidden talents?
  I am a good cook.
• What’s your favorite season?
  Summer
• What’s your favorite color?
  Yellow
• What’s your favorite animal?
  Cows!  I also have a dog – an English Springer Spaniel named Olive.
• How many different states have you lived in?
  Four
• Any additional information you would like to share?
  I worked on a ranch in the big horn mountains, can pack a mule, and used to be able to rope a cow!
