This was the second time I complained about a lot of pain on the left side of my mouth involving a couple of possible teeth. The dentist asked if I clenched my teeth and I said that I sometimes do. He told me to stop, said that there were cracks likely in old fillings and left.

I would have like a few more step by step words as he worked on my tooth. When I was about to leave, I noticed that the tooth needed a little more work--it was hitting another tooth. There was just a hint of disbelief as he came back in to fix it, i.e., I didn't see any marks on the tooth from the paper used for tapping. He did correct it. I would have preferred that he ask me to tap and see what it feels like before he left the exam room.

Liked Dr. Ullman. He explained things well to me. The only issue that I had was that during the process of drilling out my cavities, he kept the drill going after taking it out of my mouth, which got me wet in the face.

The dentist was very nice and personable and chatted with me about my job which was nice. I'm sure his time was limited due to the delay in getting me back into the room and him having other appointments, but he didn't spend much time looking at my teeth. He never actually told me everything was fine before he started to leave the room, but I asked if I was good to go and both he and the hygienist said yes, so I interpreted that there were no cavities.

The dentist recommended I have a cavity filled, but I'm not having any issues with that tooth and they didn't explain why I needed to have it filled. They also recommended I have my wisdom teeth pulled but didn't Tell me why I should go through that operation.

Poor bedside manner stating upon entrance to exam room that I have "poor genetics" resulting in my poor oral health but not questioning or advising on any oral health habits to improve outcomes. Took little time rapport building with me, very rushed and seemingly non-thorough with initial exam. Was rough during filling appointments and spent more time conversing with DH than checking on my status as the patient undergoing treatment. Spoke briefly about possibly needing further treatment down the line then jumping to wanting to schedule appointments for said interventions. Overall as a patient with pre existing anxiety felt little compassion from dentist resulting in little trust in his ability. DH was absolutely fantastic though- I cannot compliment her enough. She was incredibly kind, picking up on my anxiety and being extremely informative and reassuring about my health and hygiene.

I chose Park Dental Grand Avenue 20 years ago based on Insurance and location to my job at the time. I have since moved across town and have another park dental within 2 miles of my home, but I choose to continue to see Dr Ullman and his hygienist because they truly are the best. I had a lot of pain after Dr. Ullman prepped me for a crown. After about a week, I called for an appointment, and Dr. Ullman saw me the next day. He was very caring, and empathetic. Then he set up an immediate appointment for me to get a root canal.

I recently visited to start the work needed to crown a molar. While the process wasn't pretty and it was easy to imagine that a fleet of construction vehicles was at work in my mouth, the gentle banter and conversation of Dr. Ullman and his assistant was comforting, relaxing--as if to make me feel like something quite normal was happening inside my mouth and I need not be concerned.

at first he said i had a cavity without looking in my mouth. when I questioned it on the X ray (I'm an MD and know how to read x rays) he took it back and said it wasn't a cavity. this makes me think he wanted to make money by"filling" a non existent cavity.

Dr. Spent 10 minutes with child who was extremely anxious about having a tooth pulled. It was clear the doctor did not have any patience for childs anxiety and was willing to give up within moments. Did not talk to the child about was would happen in a way that made sense or was comforting. Child left anxious, but also feeling bad about her experience, like she had done something wrong. Dr. made it clear he did not have time for that type of behavior and/or was ill prepared to support a child with dental anxiety.

They sent in a new dentist. He immediately said that I needed to pay for 5 crowns over the next 5 years. To be honest, it sounded like he was a used car salesman. He told me to start building up my flex spending account to deal with them all so I wouldn't get root canals. He said one in particular was a priority, I asked about timing related to that. He kept on with his spiel and didn't listen to my question about timing. I had to repeat it before he told me that I should at some point in 2019 and then left. I have always felt I could communicate well with all of the dentists I've dealt with up until now.
