Dr. Yang is the best dentist I have ever had. My mouth is very sensitive to pain. Dr. Yang is the first dentist I have seen that managed the pain before I had anything done. He explained to me that additional doses of novacaine are not as effective as giving the numbing agent time to work. He also prepped me for what was going to be done so there were no surprises. When it comes to my teeth I really don't like surprises.

In three decades of enduring canker sores I've had numerous dentists ask, "Oh, do you get those a lot?" to which I would reply, "Yes, incessantly." Then nothing more would be said. Dr. Yang is the first dentist who has ever added, "I may be able to help you with that." He explained what may be happening, AT LENGTH, wrote me a prescription, and provided a full explanation of what I would be using. Honestly, I've never had this much facetime, albeit masked, with a dentist. It was a pleasant change.

I just want to note that my spouse and I were extremely disappointed to hear that Dr. Yang was moving to the Roseville clinic. He has been our dentist since he arrived at Grand Ave., and he is fantastic! I would consider following him to Roseville, but the Grand Ave clinic is literally a half block from my home, so it's hard to give up that level of convenience.

Dr. Yang was very helpful in describing what needed to be done to my tooth. I was amazed at how well he performed his work in preparing the tooth for a permanent crown. He stated that he is a perfectionist and I greatly appreciate that. He stated that he wanted to be proud of his work. I found the whole procedure to be amazingly pain-free. In addition, I experienced very little discomfort in the hours after the appointment.

I would like to make a friendly suggestion that when doctors meet with patients who are older they just be aware of not sounding condescending. I know there's not intentionality of being condescending, but it's easy to make people who are older feel like they may not be as informed or able to understand a process or procedure. I don't think there was any intentionality to be dismissive of me, I just want to raise a friendly awareness. Please know that I am not angry, and I really appreciated the good work of the staff and the doctor I saw.

I have been coming to Park Dental since 2004, and Dr. Yang is the first dentist to ever check my tongue for problems or palpate my neck and jaw for any problems/concerns. He is fantastic.

This was a cleaning. Doctor Yang played a secondary role in this appointment, coming in at the end to discuss some upcoming treatment and to review the hygienist's observations.
