Advanced Services
I feel fortunate to have a set of skills that allows me to provide a unique service to those around me. I am passionate about providing a comfortable and compassionate experience for each patient that comes to visit us, regardless of his or her age. I am excited to show patients that modern dental care can be comfortable, beautiful, and affordable.
One of my favorite aspects of dentistry is getting to know a variety of patients on a daily basis. Learning more about my patients allows me to provide a tailored experience for them. Nothing makes me feel better than when a patient lets us know how happy he or she is with the care we have provided.
A person’s oral health is an important part of the overall health of the human body. By treating oral conditions early we can have a positive effect on the health of the whole body. Even something as minor as a chipped or discolored tooth can have a major impact on a person’s self-confidence. When we treat problems such as these, we have a positive impact on the person’s well-being.
I grew up on the North Shore of Lake Superior, in Little Marais, MN. My family and I live in the heart of Duluth, and have been here since 2004. My wife Kari is a watershed biologist for the Fond du Lac Reservation, in Cloquet. We have two children — our daughter Linnea, and our son Jonas — both of whom have bright red hair! We also have two dogs: Ullr, a Gordon setter, and Baxter, a Pug.
I enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities, including downhill skiing, mountain biking, golfing, kayaking, hunting, fishing, and camping. As a family, we enjoy playing outside, camping, playing with Legos, and socializing with other families.
A passion my wife and I share is running. We have both completed several marathons and half marathons together. Training for a race is very similar to dentistry in several ways. A patient may come to our office with many complex needs. After thoroughly working our way through treatment in a systematic way, we can get to the finish line and feel good about the end result.
