Personal

I have been practicing at Park Dental Champlin since 2004. I like the variety and challenges of general dentistry, and I especially enjoy the interactions and relationships with my patients. After playing both basketball and tennis in college, followed by several years of professional tennis, I remain active in a number of athletic activities. Away from the practice, my husband and I also keep busy with our four boys. We love the outdoors and enjoy spending time with our extended families in northern Minnesota.

Very little communication to me about what was being done to me. They exposed a root but the dentist kinda just brushed it off at the end as not a big deal. Spent almost the entire procedure having a conversation with the assistant and others who walked in the room. Didn't seem focused on my care or the job at hand.

I especially liked how Dr. Miller told me what she was doing every step of the process. Anxiety is a significant issue for me, and although dentists do a process daily, the patient doesn't! So this was very helpful and appreciated!

There's generally not much going on with my teeth, so I can't say too much about the dentist. It's usually a quick check to ensure the hygienist isn't missing anything and review to ensure I don't have any questions. Very polite, very easy to understand. I'm sure the dentists are great for more complex issues, I just can't personally comment as I haven't personally had anything go wrong with my teeth in quite some time now.

This was probably the quickest time I have ever been seen by a Dentist. I was starting care at this clinic, and the dentist did not ask me any questions, need to know any history (I have had extensive dental work done), nor commented or talked about anything. She came in, barely introduced herself, looked in my teeth, stood up and said, "we'll see you in 6 months". I did not feel very comfortable after this visit nor did I feel like I was "cared" for as a patient. I feel like she was either too busy, on her lunch and did not want to tend to her patients, or simply did not care and was in and out. I did not enjoy this at all.

The only thing I'd change - is I would love to have been given information on what to expect and what things to have on hand prior to the teeth being extracted. Like he may need tylenol and soft foods for the first day. I would have loved to have taken care of that shopping beforehand instead of after. And I would have liked to be able to explain to him what was going to happen etc. I've never had a tooth extracted - or even known anymore who has - so I was not sure at all what to expect.

I have to laugh. A dentist has never spent more than a minute 30 seconds with me over 20 years. But I will take that as a good thing. I've been lucky to have no additional care from cleanings for 20 years.

This visit was a cleaning so very limited interaction with the dentist. I have been coming to this office for several years and enjoy going to this hygienist to have cleanings done. Due to issues in the past, I wouldn't schedule procedures with this dentist though.

I was so grateful that you guys worked out the use of Gas for this visit (an Extraction). my visit in July for a root canal of an absist tooth was a very very bad experience only because they couldn't use gas due to Covid-19 protocols.
