My mission is to provide outstanding dental care to my patients.  I hope to accomplish this by creating a comfortable environment to cultivate trusting relationships between the doctor, team members, and patient.  I believe by focusing on the patient’s needs, creating a comprehensive treatment plan, patient education, outstanding dental techniques, continued dental education, and a little bit of humor, this can be accomplished. 

I am a recent transplant from Seattle, Washington.  When I am not at Park Dental, I enjoy spending time with my husband and new baby.  I also enjoy discovering new parts of the Midwest, hosting fun gatherings, hiking, and pretending to be a foodie.

There were not a lot of problems or concerns, so it was a very easy visit just a general cleaning, and I was out of there that gentle hygienist was very good, and I was pleased.

This appt was for a teenager. I think they recommended sealants but nobody came to talk to me the parent. Nothing was asked about scheduling this or any appointments even for any other cleaning in the future. Very poor communication.

I'm not sure, but it seemed as if she was difficult to communicate with or we didn't understand each other. I explained that I had a root canal and she asked why. I told her because I had pain and needed one and went to an endo. It was an odd exchange and not really friendly until the end of the exam.

I have only been seen about four times by Dr. Ann Hua and am already so comfortable with her. She provides great care and on top of that she wants to get to know me as a person. I unexpectedly needed to have a wisdom tooth removed. Dr. Hua went above and beyond to explain the situation. It was an easy decision to have her extract the tooth instead of going to an oral surgeon. She went above and beyond to explain step by step what she was doing or would be doing. I felt very confident in her ability to extract this wisdom tooth.

Very rushed and barely explained my next steps. Told me that I needed to come back and that someone would call me to schedule the next steps. Still no call or email. Didn't take any time to really build a rapport, just told me the bad news and moved on to the next patient. I was pretty upset and am confused what I should be doing or scheduling for a follow up. Won't be requesting this specific dentist again.

I have been very neglectful of my dental care. This doctor did not pressure me, or shame me, just explain to me why I might want to consider some very expensive treatments, a night guard and an implant. I am now choosing to do both of those and have a better commitment to my teeth

I trust the doctor's recommendations and am happy with the treatment I've received so far from the standpoint of competence and skill; however, I am disappointed in the level of communication. I feel she was rushed and hardly available to me. I hadn't been to a dentist in some time and I feel like she glanced at my x-rays, glimpsed my mouth and was gone. i knew I had cavities and needed a deep cleaning, but I was curious about the state of my mouth and what her recommendations meant for long-term oral health. How bad is it? When I came in for fillings, she made me very comfortable but didn't tell me about the process or after care. I haven't had a filling in 25 years or so! It's not something I'm familiar with.She was friendly and welcoming but needs to slow down, work on listening, offering a couple of face to face minutes with the patient, and patient education. This doesn't have to be long, just a pause and check-in. I honestly will seek a new dentist when my care has been completed, as this isn't a great fit and perhaps a less busy practice may offer more in the way of patient experience.
