What I enjoy most about dentistry is connecting with my patients. I enjoy treating patients of all ages and creating relationships centered on a comforting and trusting atmosphere.

When not in the office you can find me on the St. Croix River spending time with my family, with friends having game nights and outside tossing the ball around for my golden retriever. I enjoy playing volleyball, traveling, and digging around in the garden.

I had a bonding/filling done for one of my teeth and the dentist did an excellent job. I also asked about possibly getting a retainer and felt a bit worried because I was concerned my teeth would move after my last retainer, that I had for several years broke, and the dentist and his team were very helpful, thorough and patient in explaining the different options and I really felt heard and understood by them. They were very professional and caring and I could tell they wanted the best for me and gave me time to decide what I felt would be the best option, excellent dentist and hygienist!

Dentist and hygienist were having a casual outside of work conversation like I was not there. Post exam, they included me when I asked a questions but I have never been in this situation in the past. It felt very odd. I also have been in the process of making decisions about a major dental procedure and this did not come up at all with this dentist. This is not my regular dentist.

The dentist and the assistant to the dentist worked remarkably efficiently together. All the right materials had been staged and the teamwork made the job of re-gluing on my retainer very efficient. I remember noticing this at the appointment. (and thanked them for their efficiency and being able to address my problem when I needed it).

He did not ask me about the results of a .new bridge placed last year In August. I had informed his assistant that I had trouble after the placement but he apparently chose to ignore. He was quick to leave the room without saying goodbye

This was my first visit with this dentist, and he made absolutely no attempt to get to know me, make conversation, etc. He seemed almost cold/rude. He didn't even tell me to open my mouth - he just leaned over me with his tools in his hand, without a word.

The doctor was professional and seemed knowledgeable and addressed my question about Invisalign. He was impersonal and somewhat unfriendly. Although I'm not looking for caregivers to become my friends, as a new patient (we just moved back to the Valley), an effort to get to know me and my history at Park Dental would have been appreciated.

Very impressed by this dentist. Great chair-side manner, appeared to be a great technition of his trade as he did a great job. He was also not super rough on my mouth during the procedure - he appeared to be consious of my comfort level, where and how hard he had to press/work, etc. I will go back to him every time.

I had tongue cancer 20 years ago. At my last visit I had forgot to ask the Doctor to check, specifically, my tongue for any abnormalities. I called in later to address this and the office happily offered for me to come back In but assured me that the Doctor had looked at my tongue. I said I would be OK. This conversation must have been somehow entered into my notes because at the next visit the Doctor SPECIFICALLY had me stick out my tongue and look for any abnormalities. I was very appreciative of this detail - great customer service. THANK YOU.

Dr Tarman barely took any time to listen to my concerns. He talked over me and didn't give me the opportunity to tell him that I had already tried the things he was saying. I couldn't get a word in. Then he told me he couldn't buff the front of a chip in my front tooth at that time, because he said he was running very behind. Said I'd need to come back another day. I have 2 toddlers at home and juggle a LOT to get to preventive care appointments like this. My time is as valuable as the Dentist's time, and I had been there for 1.5 hrs already! For a preventive cleaning & exam! Not to mention that I'd be charged for an additional visit. He did end up quickly buffing the tooth, which took 5 minutes (max), and he didn't agree to do it until I threatened to do it with a nail file at home. I will not be going back.
